- (summer 08) thenewboss.com has undergone a complete overhaul. the new website is influenced by the graphics on their latest album "file under rock" - (summer 08) After much blood sweat and tears, the new album "file under rock" is finally available. a CD release party is being planned for the fall to coincide with the album becoming available on Apples' iTunes. - (spring 08) Recently the band wowed a receptive audience at Toronto's legendary Cameron House, showcasing material from their highly anticipated new full length release. - (spring 08) The New Boss has named their soon to be released album "file under rock" - (winter 07) 15 tracks by The New Boss are currently being mastered by Will Haas at Willyboy Recordings. - (summer 07) The New Boss are back to a quartet with the addition of bassist Micheal Brunelle. - (spring 07) The band has started a group on the wildly popular site facebook.com . - (winter 06/07) Performing with the new 3-piece line up.. The New Boss played a Tragically Hip after party at The Thorny Devil. The club overflowed with T-Hip fans fresh from the concert at John Labbatt Centre and The New Boss kept them rockin' for an additional 2 hours. - (winter 06/07) Bassist Rj LeRiche has left the band due to creative differences. The remaining 3 members will either continue as a power trio with Jason and Dwayne trading off bass duties, or a new bassist will be added. - (winter 06/07) Dwayne hosted another successful "big show" at the London Music Club on November 18th. The show featured Anne Moniz, The Satellite Hearts, Flophouse, The New Boss and Prepboy. - (winter 06/07) Sessions have officially begun for a new album... there are no shows booked for all of december and the band will use this time to work on the album at The New Boss headquarters at The Wick (london) - (fall 06) Friends of the band are calling them crazy... The New Boss have decided to scrap the results of their latest recording sessions that have been in process for well over a year! For various reasons, the band are starting over from scratch. Some of the reasons include the addition of RJ to the band and technical issues with the previous recordings. Although the songs from the abandoned sessions are still up on the website, they will not be included in any official release untill they are re-recorded. - (fall 06) Dressed in purple t-shirts, the band performs for football fans at a university football game between U.W.O.s Mustangs and McMaster's Marauders. The band played 2 songs before the game and 3 songs during the halftime show at TD Waterhouse stadium to an estimated 6000 people. - (summer 06) The New Boss jumps on the youtube/myspace bandwagon! check the videos page for the latest additions or just search the youtube site. Find 4 full songs on their myspace page. - (spring 06) See Jay Drury and Dwayne Errington reform with their former Kilheaven Bandmates for a once only appearance at GT's in London ON, June 4/06. They are appearing with a number of other bands as part of a re-union of Rickies bar alumni. - (spring 06) The New Boss has a new bass player! Formerly of The 78's and longtime friend of The New Boss...RJ Leriche will rock you! Watch for RJ's page soon. - (fall 05) Lately the band have been carting around an old 80's keyboard to the live shows. The unit is being used as a midi controller for a macintosh computer that is somehow mounted to the ancient keyboard. Although it is used sparingly to date.. the band are exploring new sounds and you will probably hear this on the new album. - (fall 05) Fans who missed the August/05 Salt Lounge show missed a booze fueled impromptu jam at the end of the night involving The Bumps drummer Thom and The New Boss's own Dwayne on guitar. The duo made noise for about a half an hour to a stunned and confused audience! - (winter 04) Thanx to all for coming to the big 7 band show on November 6th/04, the show was a lot of fun and i will put together a similar show in the future. cheers! dwayne. - (summer 04) The New Boss drummer Jamie Pigeault has anounced his retirement from drums and drumming. He will now concentrate on his new main instrument the guitar with his new band The Bumps. - (spring 04) CHRW radio western has posted some mp3's of Dwayne 's old band "Sugarnuckle" in their archives. The songs are from the 4 Song cassette"Welfare Stew". Also in the archives is an earlier version of The New Boss..."Kilheaven".
